She founded her coaching company in 2013 to advise creatives and business owners on entrepreneurship. She believes owning your own business is a path to freedom, security, and authentic creative expression. Some of her clients have written New York Times best-selling books, been nominated for Grammys, listed in the Billboard Top 100, Amazon and iTunes Top Album Charts and received local and International acclaim. Octavia Carson is a dynamic attorney, strategist, and advocate from Pontiac, Michigan. A proud U.S. Navy veteran, they bring a mission-driven mindset to every aspect of their work, combining legal expertise with an unwavering commitment to equity and empowerment.
Licensed to practice in California and Washington, D.C., Octavia has built a multifaceted legal career spanning government service, academia, private practice, and nonprofit leadership. They began their legal journey as a judicial law clerk for the Board of Immigration Appeals, later serving as a Visiting Assistant Professor of Law and an associate attorney focused on employment and consumer rights. Today, they lead their own firm, Carson Legal Strategies PLLC, where they help entrepreneurs and creatives protect their brands, build sustainable businesses, and own their intellectual property.
Octavia is also the founder of The Black Bar Applicant Fund, a nonprofit organization that supports Black aspiring attorneys by covering the high cost of bar exam preparation and licensing—breaking down barriers to access and representation in the legal profession.

"If I can feel it, I can play it," he often says. He also enjoys composing on Ableton and playing guitar. In his free time, he can be found enjoying the company of loved ones and programming computers.
